Hi All – My name is Michelle, and I look forward to becoming an active member of this community. I am American but have lived in Sydney with my Aussie husband for the past 6 years, and hoping to relocate in 2010 back to frosty Wisconsin. Not sure how hubby will adjust to the snow, but hoping he loves it so we can be close to the family again!
I am also a New Zealand registered immigration adviser (200902620) and travel consultant with MZ Migration International, so I am happy to assist with any advice or queries that come up on this forum. Please feel free to contact me – I am happy to help as I know how frustrating the visa and migration process can be!
I look forward to becomig a part of this forum!

My wife and I are looking to make the move and have pretty much everything planned out. If you could, could I contact you with some question to help us do this? It's been really harcand complicated process but we seem to be on the move towards progress…

Hi people, well Ive been in NZ for 2 years now (pom) I have a blog on my experiences moving to NZ, but I dont think I can post the site here, due to forum rules, and its not offical advice either as immigration law prevents me from doing this. Perhaps if a moderator would allow me to post my blog, then you can see what life is like here from my perspective……
Anyway, good luck to you all, Nz is a fantastic place to live and work. Wages are less, holidays too, but the lifestyle in my opinion is second to non, certainly have no intentions of returning to yUK !!
Perhaps the best advice I can give is to do your research !!!!!!! The country differs dramatically depending on where you want to live. Things to be mindful of, such as climate, pace of life, schooling etc etc are suprisingly overlooked ! If you have a family then I would definately suggest you pay a visit first, if you are single or a couple and have had experience with travel, then it is less difficult to deal with the change of a new country.
Cheers,
Snapa
